University study or vocational training in Germany
Most people arriving at this page want one of two things, and they are handled differently from the first step.
A university degree means applying to a public or private institution, meeting the entry requirements for your subject, and studying in German or English depending on the programme. Public universities generally charge no tuition, which is the main reason Germany competes with destinations costing many times more.
An Ausbildung is vocational training rather than a degree. It runs about three years, alternates classroom teaching with workplace practice, and pays a training salary throughout. Nursing is the route we are asked about most, and section 03 covers it.
If you are unsure which fits your grades and budget, that is what the first consultation is for.
University admissions support
We shortlist programmes against your grades, your budget and the language you can realistically study in, then prepare the application. That includes checking whether your qualification is accepted for direct entry or whether you need a Studienkolleg foundation year first, which is a common outcome for UAE and South Asian school certificates and is far better discovered now than after a rejection.
We handle the uni-assist submission where the university uses it, prepare the academic documents and transcripts, and work through the language evidence each programme requires. English-taught programmes exist at postgraduate level in particular, but they are more competitive and fewer in number than most guides imply. We will tell you honestly whether your shortlist is realistic without German.

Nursing Ausbildung placement support in Germany
Germany trains nurses through a three-year Ausbildung that combines study with paid practical work in hospitals and care homes. You finish with the German qualification itself.
The hard part from Dubai is not the application. It is securing the training contract with a hospital or care provider. For the visa to begin a specific Nursing Ausbildung you normally need that confirmed training place. Germany does also operate a separate visa for eligible applicants seeking a vocational training place — reported conditions include B1 German, being under 35 and proof of funds — but our service focuses on securing the contract before departure, which is the stronger position.

Tuition, living costs and proof of funds
Most public universities charge no tuition for international students. It is not universal: Baden-Württemberg charges many non-EU students a fee per semester, Bavarian universities may impose non-EU tuition, and continuing-education master's programmes often charge. You also pay a semester contribution everywhere, set by each institution and typically covering administration and a local transport pass. Private universities charge full fees.
The larger number is proof of financing. You must show you can fund your first year before the visa is issued. A blocked account, or Sperrkonto, is the most common method — a year of living costs deposited in advance and released to you monthly after arrival. It is not the only accepted route: the German mission in the UAE also lists a formal obligation letter, a Verpflichtungserklärung, and a qualifying scholarship.
Proof of funds by route — verify before transferring
- Degree study
- Reported at EUR 11,904 for the year, released at about EUR 992 a month
- Nursing Ausbildung
- Paid training salary can count towards the requirement
- School-based training
- A separate, lower monthly figure applies
- Alternatives
- Verpflichtungserklärung or a qualifying scholarship
That is the single biggest financial difference between the two routes. A degree is self-funded and needs a full year deposited in advance; nursing Ausbildung pays you throughout and may need only a shortfall covered, or nothing at all. We set out what applies to your contract rather than quoting a figure that may have moved.

Why UAE families choose Stanford Global
Germany is the destination where sequence matters most. The training contract has to come before the visa. Certification, translation and any APS verification have to happen before the documents are usable. A Studienkolleg requirement discovered late costs a full intake.
We work the order backwards from your intake date, and we say plainly when a plan will not make it. Where another destination fits your grades or budget better — elsewhere in Europe, for instance — we will tell you at the first meeting rather than after you have paid. Everything runs from one office in Oud Metha, Dubai.
- Both routes handled — degree admissions and nursing Ausbildung
- Studienkolleg requirement checked at shortlist stage, not after a rejection
- APS and anabin verification for Indian-issued qualifications
- uni-assist submission and document translation managed
- Blocked account, obligation letter or scholarship — whichever fits
- One senior counsellor from consultation to arrival briefing
