Budgets vary sharply between public and private universities. The ranges below are typical planning figures for taught programmes.

• Undergraduate — 12th-grade completion; some countries require a foundation year for non-EU curricula.
• Master's — Recognised 3–4-year bachelor's; GRE/GMAT only for select business or US-style programmes.
• English proof — IELTS 6.0–7.0, TOEFL or PTE accepted at most English-taught programmes.
• Local language — A1–B2 in German, French or Italian only when the programme is taught in that language.

Each European country issues its own long-stay (Type-D) student visa through its consulate or VFS partner in the UAE. Financial proof, admission letter and health insurance are common requirements.
